how big are our photos?

This picture to the left hand side is a small clip from the photo above.

The actual dimensions of the frame are 372 pixels across by 1,644 high. This is just a tiny fraction of the entire width of the panorama. Even though this picture had much of the data stripped out so we could use it on this page, you can clearly see the level of detail present in this thin strip.

You can see the individual trees in Chautauqua Park below the base of the first flatiron. You can see the individual ripples in the rock making up the flatiron. You can inspect the ground and rocks and ravines in the undulating foreground.
