The walls were very steep but the Sun found a way to illuminate the canyon. Once light entered the slot, it bounced around and lit up sections of the canyon walls.
When coming out of a deep, dark recess, one could not help but be pulled to the lighter sections. Strolling under the trees, in the presence of such large cliffs, made this a unique experience.
