Downstream from Limestone campground the river turns West as it enters Echo Park and the confluence with the mighty Yampa river.
At this point in the canyon most of the rapids are done for now. Once you clear Echo Park, they begin to start up again in Whirlpool Canyon. Until then, passengers can safely take the oars and captains can relax. But only for now!
