Mount Evans is a fourteen thousand foot peak that overlooks the city of Denver CO. It is the highest paved road in the lower 48 states and houses an observatory which you can see here.

This shot was taken at 14, 258 feet and looks eastwards towards Denver. The blue folds of the foothills can be easily seen as a new day starts. Two days later this section of the mountain was closed off for the season. This was one of the last shots up here this season.
