There was so much to photograph I was stopping every time I turned around. Just when I though I could start up again, this stretch of road demanded I stop and think about what I really wanted. Photographs or travel?

I decided I wanted to photograph. After I took this shot, I settled into a nice pace of shooting and traveling. The aspen were so tall and inviting. The understory was so beautiful it offset the texture of the road and the desire to use it.
