The morning was clear and bright. I had waited three days for this chance and I was not leaving the valley without this picture.
Just up the valley are the lovely Maroon Bells and hundeds of photographers. This scene was almost totally ignored. The carpet of aspen covered almost the entire valley except the park like foreground. I wanted to take all day and just walk through this forest. The smells were incredible.
