We drove through the fog. My friend had a gloomy look on his face. The car surged up the steep grade and gradually the sky lightened up. Eventually we cleared the cloud layer and drove into clear air. In a few minutes the Sun would rise.

Even though the sunrise was spectular the best shots were right before the Sun broke the horizon line. The clouds extended for miles.
