Right below the continental divide are little pockets of forest beauty. Fox Park is a little series of sparkling meadows in a high hanging valley right off the big ridges of the divide.
In late July you can still find snow in the shadows and new flowers in the meadows. These plants have a few months to conduct all their business, so they waste no time in blooming and going to seed.
These beautiful meadows are kept fresh with daily showers from passing clouds. The continental divide gets significantly more rain than the lower forests.
