Chesler Park

We were about to go underground. At this point the trail dives between some rock outcrops and becomes the Joint Trail in Chesler Park. The Joint Trail dives 50 to 200 feet beneath huge rocks and travels for a quarter mile. But before we jump in, I always stop here and shoot this feature because it is so interesting.

This massive sandstone barrier is pitted with canyons and slots. The small mushroom rocks in front of it have many different slots that house little secret spots like the Joint Trail. They can be great places to get out of the extreme heat in the Summer.
