The willows formed a single line that led deep into the forest. The snow was several feet deep and getting off your skis meant certain post holing up to your waist. There was almost no wind this day and it made for a very quiet ski through the meadows.

Every so often I would come across a few moose quietly passing the hours chewing and laying around.
