The Teton Range

A few minutes ago the entire range was lit up in pink light. Now with the rising Sun a little higher, a new palette of oranges and yellows dominated. The range stood there as a soldier does at attention.

The Tetons is one of the few ranges that have no foothills. The fault line runs right in front of these mountains and forms an abrupt edge to this flat bench like foreground. The Grand Teton (13,770 feet) is the highest point in the state and the park.
