The Flatirons At Dawn
When the Sun hits the foothills of Boulder, there is something special about it. This is the meeting place between plains and mountains. This is one of the lines where the earth changes and within a few hundred feet, nothing is as it was. What was flat is now uplifted and on it's side. Trees are high above you. The creek down below.
Alpenglow happens when early or late afternoon light hits the peaks and turns them pink. This was taken at sunrise looking west.
