Not Your Father’s Photographs

Our large format images are not your standard photographs. Each image is created from several frames shot in sequence and processed to construct a very large image that has much greater density than a 4 x 5 image. These images contain so much detail that they take on a 3D look and stand up under extremely close viewing. This process allows for most everything to be in sharp focus too. For the most part, these images are shown in their normal size, these are not small images blown up.

The process of capturing these images starts with shooting several hundred frames, then creating between 60 and 120 panoramic images for each image you see here. Most images require several different trips over years in order to understand the setting, show up at the right time and capture the feeling of the landscape as I saw it. Development and printing time usually require about three months each. We never “photoshop in” details or add anything. These images are an accurate reflection of how they actually look.

Images Meant To Last A Lifetime

We do all of our printing in house using a professional workflow and a complete archival process. The prints are created using archival pigmented inks on archival acid free paper and mounted on acid free foamboard under high pressure.

We use the highest quality framing materials available. Most of our frames are solid wood and custom fitted for each image. Each image is a custom job.

Custom Jobs Are Not A Problem

You are not limited to what you see here either. We actually prefer to custom build for each customer. We are happy to create a custom image for you with the exact right image size, frame, liner or matting and your choice of high quality optical glass. This usually takes about a week and your complete satisfaction is guaranteed. There is no additional charge for custom requests and can be started with a $100 deposit.

The result of this process is a large format, vibrant image with durable qualities and explosive color that will last a lifetime and start thousands of conversations.

Twenty years ago it would have been impossible to capture entire scenes and create images like these. Truly these are not your father’s photographs.

We fully guarantee that you will be completely happy with your fine art. You must be completely delighted with our work, or you are entitled to a complete refund. See our guarantee.
